Some steel tanks are made from Zincalume and without maintenance are susceptible to corrosion on the panel walls due to moisture accumulating between the tank wall and liner. For Zincalume tanks, the contact with the liner inhibits the natural anti-corrosion properties of Zincalume. To reduce corrosion, Zincalume-walled tanks require sacrificial anodes to be installed and replaced every 5 years, adding to the overall cost of ownership. We believe the better solution is to use galvanised steel for your tank walls, as it eliminates the issue experienced by Zincalume tanks.
