Aquamate® Quality Rainwater Tanks

Rainwater Harvesting

Aquamate Rainwater Collection Tanks

Regardless of how rainwater is collected, Aquamate has a standard range of rainwater tanks to suit most collection and storage requirements or a custom solution for specific projects. Rainwater can be fed to the tank by gravity feed or pumped from your rainwater source collection point(s). To supplement this you can also make the tank roof a collection source with the optional Aquamate’s Rainsaver system. The system collects water as it runs off the roof with the Rainsavers placed at the end of each corrugated channel.  With an average annual rainfall of 500mm, a 11900mm diameter tank could collect around an extra 60,000 litres of water – that’s about 1/4 of the tank!

The strength of the galvanised steel panels and the durability and flexibility of the polyethylene lining provide a long lasting water tank with the best corrosion resistance.

Why use a Galvanised Tank Shell

The galvanised and Zincalume® debate is well known. What is not widely discussed is what is best for polymer lined tanks. The answer is galvanised steel. Why? Because when the lining comes in contact with a Zincalume® product, it actually inhibits the anti corrosion properties of Zincalume® and actually causes corrosion. Also, a galvanised tank will not require sacrificial anodes that require on going replacement every 5 years. Trouble free zero servicing with a long warranty!

It is for this reason that Aquamate rainwater tanks use galvanised steel for the walls and Zincalume® for the roof of their tanks.

Aquamate tanks’ shells are ideal for storing water due to their lightweight steel construction and heavy-duty galvanising. The lightweight, thin-gauge steel panels provide all the necessary strength without adding extra weight or cost.

All tank panels are coated with a thick layer of galvanised metal that weighs three times as much as a conventional zinc-aluminium alloy coating. This and Aquamate’s polymer lining provide outstanding corrosion resistance and durability.

The steel panels are bolted together thanks to the modular design, which allows easy onsite assembly, handling, and freight.

Flexible Polyolefin Tank Liner

All of Aquamate’s tank liners are composed of polyolefin, a specially blended polymer that is very flexible, stretchy, and fatigue-resistant—all of which are required for a quality water tank lining. Aquamate can offer a 20-year no-leaks warranty on their rainwater tanks due to the high quality of the tank liners.

Aquamate has the unique capacity of producing single-piece liners weighing up to 4,000kg. Large panels reduce fault rates, minimise seams, and shorten installation times.

Rainsaver Gutter System

The Rainsaver gutter system turns the roof of the water tank into a collection devise. The Rainsaver is fitted to the perimeter end of the corugated channels to simply harvest the water running of the roof.

On average Rainsaver can, with an annual rainfall of 500mm collect up to about a  1/4 tank of otherwise wasted water and reduce stormwater runoff issues.

The gutter system is an option and can be retro fitted.

Puraflow and Aquamate

Puraflow and Aquamate are working together to provide professional distribution and installation of rainwater tanks across NSW. When you order a tank from Puraflow, you get all the high-quality attention to detail and the project management that comes with an installation package. By installing Puraflow, you are secure in the knowledge that your warranty is assured.

In-house manufacture

Quality and Cost Control

Aquamate rolls their own water tank panels from heavy duty galvanised steel coil at their Adelaide production facility. This enables complete control of the quality and finish of products, as well as providing competitive pricing to customers. These in-house capabilities also mean the company can customise water tank shells for special projects and provide replacements for  old tank panels.

The corrugated panels are manufactured using automated CNC roll forming machinery. The liners can be made in single pieces up to 4000kg. This maintains quality minimises defects and reduces onsite tank assembly times.
